In 2007, Russell, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), founded TLC JR, LLC, an investments and consulting firm and Maryland Minority Business Enterprise, where he advised a variety of digital media and technology-based startups. Russell was the co-founder of Fugett Baseball Group , a private equity firm created to acquire affiliated minor league baseball teams and related businesses. Tasked with identifying new digital revenue streams, Russell had the opportunity to interface with Major League Baseball (MLB) Advanced Media, the Internet and interactive branch of MLB as well as other experts in the out of home family entertainment industry. This, in part, led Russell to the founding of Good Word Digital, a digital communications company created to meet emerging critical needs in online reputation management, communication and marketing. A 5th generation entrepreneur and winner of multiple awards for leadership and service, Russell has a B.A. from Trinity College, Hartford, CT, where he served two terms as Student Government President, and an M.S. in Project Management from The George Washington University School of Business who has since presented him with an alumni achievement award. Russell is also a 2016 graduate of the Greater Baltimore Committee Leadership Program.
